Mike Fernandez

Michael Fernandez was born in Birmingham, AL, raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. He attended undergrad at Auburn University and graduate school at University of Alabama.

Fernandez started Moe's Original BBQ in Tuscaloosa, AL in 1988. He moved to Vail, CO and attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales. He relaunched Moe's Original BBQ in 2002 in Vail with Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy.

There are currently 53 Moe's Original BBQ locations spanning from Maine to California.
