Matt Limbaugh

Born and trained in North Carolina, Chef Matt Limbaugh moved to Vail almost 20 years ago. His Colorado career started as a line cook at Mirabelle in Beaver Creek. Working his way up the ladder, he then joined the Restaurant Kelly Liken team to be a Sous Chef. Soon after, he got promoted to Chef de Cuisine and at one point even served as Chef Kelly’s assistant on the popular TV show, Iron Chef. After that, he was Executive Chef at Cordillera Country Club in Edwards. Eight years ago, he opened Root & Flower in Vail Village with two former co-workers and now serves as Chef/Owner there.
